Overheard/Overseen

Jaron's Second Grade Grin

Overheard . . .
Setting: I'm in the bathroom getting ready to take the kids to Grandma's for swimming.

Jaron: "Mom, how come in the olden days mom's had lots of kids and now they don't?"

Me: "What do you mean Jaron?"

Jaron: "In the olden days grandma had LOTS and LOTS of kids, but you only have a few, how come?"

Me: "Well . . . "

Jaron (inturrupting): "I think I know.  It's because of the Second Coming."

Me: "Really?  Why's that?"

Jaron: "Because you know how we used to be in Heaven and Heavenly Father has lots of spirits to come to earth?  We'll lots and lots have mostly been born and you know in the scriptures it says they'll be earthquakes and storms and there just was an earthquake and a Hurricane and a big hug Salami in Japan so it's coming so there aren't many kids left."

Overheard . . .
Setting: Getting the boys in the car to go to the library.

Me: "Carson, climb up in your car seat."

Carson (hands on hips and stomping his foot): "Ugh! Mom, I told you and told you! You not the boss! I the boss! I THE BOSS! I told you and told you! You not the boss! I. THE. BOSS!"

Overheard and Seen . . .
Lots and lots of giggling and upon further investigation I found this . . .

Never a dull moment around here! :)
